  1. CONGRATS to Emma Kelly for taking her first steps! My daughter didn’t walk until 15 mos either and I never once stressed about it when everyone around me was.
To Momma Kellie: Life as you now know it will NEVER be the same again!! Life with a WALKING toddler is WORLDS different than life before this milestone.
Best of Luck to you and yours!
I love you and admire you. You inspire me. Keep up the great work as a working, single mother!!

  2. Look at her go!! You have the cutest daughter!!

  3. worry not about time frames…heck…it took me 15 and a half years to potty train.

  4. AWWWWWW!! I cannot believe how big she is. She’s such a little lady now 🙂

  5. CONGRATULATIONS. What a wonderful day.Life is REALLY wonderful for you right now. I hope that Emma Kelly has many more first for everyone to see. Thanks for the video.

    Lots of Love and Prayer

  6. That is awesome. She is so precious. You better watch out now because she is going to be into everything. I have a baby girl, Payten, who will be one on 3/7 and has been walking since she was 9 months old and let me tell you, she is a handful. That is so great. Congrats. Have a great day!!!

  7. That just makes me smiles. Thanks!

  8. wait till she starts dating…then the real fun will begin.

  9. awwwww! I just Heart Emma Kelly!!! yay!!

  10. Sweet!!! And she’s off. A week from now I bet you’ll be lamenting that she isn’t easier to catch! haha At least you will be able to cut down time on the treadmill! 🙂 As the mom of a very, very, very busy three year old I send you lots of positive energy. If that doesn’t work then Red Bull works too….:) That’s so neat – congratulations!

  11. How awesome is that! Congratulations!!!

  12. I can not believe someone just “overtalked” their kid and wrapped it in “thats so awesome” message.

Who gives a crap when they start walking so long as they do! And they look so cute doing it!!

  13. I’m so happy for you, b/c I know that even though you really don’t care what everyone says, there is always a small part of you wondering, will she ever walk? My son was 16 mos before he started walking, and he was/is completely normal. My daughter is now 13 mos, and I still get the questions over and over, when will she walk?. .when she is ready she will walk! As someone else mentioned. .life as you know it will NOT be the same. . have fun running after her! Congrats!

  14. I love how she just walked and walked around! So cute! You have an adorable daughter for sure! Good Job Mom!

  15. Yay for Emma Kelly!! She is sooo cute!

  16. does EK play that baby “baby grand”?!?

You are so blessed Kellie. =)

  18. Emma Kelly is sooooo cute!! And you know why it took her 15 1/2 months?? Because she worked up the confidence to just go for it and not worry about falling or anything; and, now, she’s doing great just getting back up after a spill. Go, Emma Kelly!!

    🙂

I think parenthood is just one worry after another, all the way until they are grown and off to college! 🙂

  21. How cute and congratulations to you both. I bet there was an ice cream celebration after.

  22. YAY!! Big Girl! Way to go! You are such a good walker too.

She’s got awesome balance for a newbie!

Thanks for putting such a big smile on my face. 🙂

  23. YAYYYY! So cute! I love how she goes kerplunk every few steps, too precious. 🙂 All that’s missing is the massive bow 🙂

  24. to cute… did you have an ice cream celeration after?

  25. Congrats to Emma Kelly!!!! Your life will never be the same. Every child is different. I have 17 month old twins and one walked at 10 months and the other walked at 13 1/2 months. I was worried that one was behind, but all turned out just fine. Now I wish they were not walking and getting into everything. Have a great day!!!

  26. Dear Lord, she is ADORABLE! Such a sweet little expression when she fell down and looked back at you! And can we talk about the outfit?! CUTE! Especially with those Mary Janes!

  27. Way to go Emma Kelly! My first child didn’t walk until 15 months either and after having a second, trust me you will be thankful she waited so long, because life as you knew it will never be the same!

  28. I can’t see the video – thanks to work!!!! BUT, I know how you feel. My daughter didn’t start until 15 months either… Now I can’t get her to slow down. I can’t wait to watch the video tonight when I get home. xoxo

  31. One word “””””ADORABLE””””

  33. That is to cute!!!!!

  34. is that not a precious site or WHAT???

  35. That is so cute! Congratulations!!!
I thought it was so funny how every time she tripped, she would look at the camera! hehe… she looks like such a sweet baby! and that face… awwww!

  36. Your little one is charming. Look at her!!!! She is adorable! Keep up the good work, Mama!

  37. Congrats to Emma Kelly!! Dont worry Kellie, I didnt walk until i was 16 months old, so its almost normal lol!

  38. AWWWW … you just have to love the drunk walk how sweet

  39. Congratulations Emma Kelly! My first daughter did not start walking until she was 15 months old. My pediatrician told me that the average child started walking around 14-16 months, but everyone I knew told me THEIR kids were walking by 12 months. My first daughter is now 5 years old and she STILL wants me to carry her! Go figure.

  40. She is so cute, and picks herself up so well when she falls.

  41. What a cutie pie!! I love seeing photos and videos of Emma Kelly; she is so adorable. I love the way she doesn’t let it stop her when she falls on her cute little bottom!

  42. I’ll never forget when my son, who was a June baby, started walking the day after the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, way back in 1989. At the time, we figured he’d gotten inspiration and motivation from watching the telethon. Incidentally, that “baby” will be 20 years old soon and has continued to master other feats of physical strength along the way. Kudos to EK!

  43. Yay for Emma Kelly! That is so awesome that she’s walking. She just took those extra months to observe everyone else doing it! And it paid off – she’s nearly a pro already!

  44. Omgosh, that is the CUTEST! YAY Emmma Kelly! She’s walking and talking and just the cutest thing ever!

  45. She is too cute!!!!

    And the dog too!!!

  46. I know how you feel Kelly…my son is 15 months and not walking yet. The doctor actually said he is going to send a specialist to our house to see if he needs special help! I thought we shouldn’t worry until after 18 months but I guess not! 😦 Maybe he will be walking in two months too.

  47. Sweet beautiful girl! Enjoy!
FYI. When my 28 year old daughter was about 2-3 she was biting. I took my mom’s advise and bit her back. It worked, but I had to take her to the emergency room for a cut. They were not happy with me for biting her. Thank goodness I told the truth. The real issue is that we cannot really tell how hard we are biting. I would never consider biting my 3 year old granddaughter–who just happens to be an angel! I would go with the time out…. I like the breath strips they talked about this am
